Angie Flores is a homegrown California native of Los Angeles and calls the South Bay her home. With a degree in Child Psychology, and a career that spanned from working with challenged children and adults, to working the corporate scene as an HR manager, she always felt there was more for her to achieve. With the love and support of her family, Angie has followed her dream of writing children's picture books and getting published.
Cub's Wish is Angie's first solo book, and debuted as a #1 New Release, and best seller on Amazon at #2767 of all 11million+ books, and holds 5-star reviews with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Readers Favorite, and more. Cub's Wish quickly became a multiple award winner and gained instant recognition. Angie was also awarded "Best Female Author" for Children's Literature through "the Authors Show" and awarded a spot in their book "Authors You Should Be Reading". Angie sits on the board of the Children's Book Writers of Los Angeles (CBW-LA) where she assists writers on their path to publication. Her writing has been showcased in the CBWLA Story Sprouts anthologies and the award-winning middle grade collaborative novel "Kayla Wayman, Junior Time Traveler, Lost in the Stream". Angie is on the board of Reading Is Fundamental of Southern California (RIFSoCal), taking part in getting new books into the hands of children in underserved schools.
Featured in several podcasts, radio, cable tv, print magazines and YouTube segments, as well Disney/ABC7's Magic of Storytelling, Angie speaks on the importance of parental inclusion and reading to your children. In 2019 Angie's wish was realized with her books physically making it to the shelves of Barnes and Noble, in 2 California locations, Boston, and Nevada, as well as several indie bookstores and is sold internationally.
Cub's Wish has made its mark as a thoughtful bonding book that brings out the sweet moments of conversation between care giver and child, and the understanding that sometimes we all need a little guidance to achieve our dreams. Angie felt the message would resonate with families around the world and has made the book available in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Tagalog, as well as Braille, with other languages in production.
While Angie enjoys sharing Cub's message with children and families at schools and events, her goal is to teach kids kindness, empathy, and to think all choices through to ensure a positive result.
